I started out sweeping floors at Alloy Yachts of Auckland, where I was offered an apprenticeship straight after graduating high school. There I picked up invaluable skills in my craft and developed an eye for detail, becoming a qualified Marine Cabinet Maker. In the years to follow, I had set my sights overseas to broaden my experience in the industry, securing a job as crew on a superyacht in the mediterranean. After a few years, I was ready to close the yachting chapter of my life but unsure where to focus my attention.

I adapted into the New Zealand kitchens and interior cabinetry profession. There I worked for multiple high end interior companies and I’m grateful for the good relationships I established with those who I worked with along the way.

It eventually dawned on me that I was not going to be truely satisfied, until I started working for myself.

Not long after the return home, I had also started setting up my own workshop where I was able to bring designs that were on paper and in my mind, into real life. There, the fire was lit, discovering my true passion for furniture. This allowed me to utilise my skills and knowledge as a maker, spliced in with my own creativity in design. Patiently working away in my spare time and after hours, I have developed my own designs along with a brand to become what we know as, Dietzwood.

Now, on my own two feet with Dietzwood as my sole endeavour, it is my mission to bring you contemporary designs incorporating premium materials with a focus on quality craftsmanship. Resulting in refined pieces to complement your environment.
